When To Use Facebook Promoted Posts

The best time to use Promoted Posts for Facebook is when you have something to share that your fans will likely share and spread your message for you.

For example, if you’re an author and your book is free on Amazon, you can promote a post of the picture of your book cover and let your fans know it’s free – and you will likely receive hundreds of new fans and thousands of downloads because people love free stuff (Like this post which took my Vertical Gardening Fan Page from 800 to over 1000 fans for just a $10 promoted post – not to mention over 2000 new downloads of my book on Amazon – not a bad ROI, huh?)

If you’re a local insurance business, you could write a report called “The Top 5 Things You Need To Know About Home Insurance” and give it away for free on your website in exchange for customers opting in to your email list. Then post it on Facebook and promote the post and get hundreds of new leads for a few dollars.

These are just a few of the ways to use Promoted Posts but the key is to make sure your post is interesting and worth sharing – otherwise you’re just spending money to advertise and won’t get that extra viral boost from Facebook that can turn a few advertising dollars into massive profits.
